Security office asked that as an Admin I remove two datasets. I was only a viewer on the datasets and even though I am an Admin I can not get to the settings for the dataset. I believe there is a bug.
These are the instructions I have for getting to the settings:
Go directly to Datasets – Hugging Face <org-name>/<dataset-name>. Across the top you’ll see tabs: Dataset card, Files and versions, Community, and Settings. Settings is the one you want — deletion is at the bottom of that page.
If you don’t see a Settings tab at all, that’s a permissions signal, not a UI-location issue: it only renders for users with at least “write” access on that specific repo. Since the uploader was removed from the org, check your own role first — go to huggingface.co/organizations/<org-name>/settings/members and confirm you’re listed as “admin” (not just “read” or “contributor”). Admin is what unlocks Settings/delete on repos you didn’t personally create.
If you are admin and it’s still missing, it’s worth flagging as a bug to HF support rather than assuming you’re doing something wrong.
How do I report a bug?
